Infusion by StephanieRonnyknit1bead2 on ArtFire
I love waking up to find that one of my items has been included in a collection. Fusion!! is "An infusion of color! Putting together our very own Artfire artisans multi-colored creations! Not only an infusion of color, but an infusion of lots of great talent!!"
ArtFire has a neat little tool to generate code for a collection. No more copying, cutting, pasting and uploading like on Etsy.

Tutorial: Open Link In A New Page
I enjoy personalizing my blog and my blog posts as much as possible. I also like to provide my readers with a link to shops, blogs or other pages that I reference.
Sometimes when you click on a link, it opens on the page you are on and in order to finish your reading you have to go back to the page. Sometimes clicking on a link will open the link in another window or page. Then as a reader you don’t have to worry about finding the original page again.
There is a downside for the blog or site owner if a link opens on the same page, there is always a chance that the reader won’t get back to your site.
What causes the link to open in a new page or the same page? The difference is in the way you write the link.
This is the address for my blog: “ http://www.blogspot.com/CherylsPurpleCow”
The code opening the link in the same window looks like this:
http://www.blogspot.com/CherylsPurpleCow">http://www.blogspot.com/CherylsPurpleCow
All you have to do is add this snippet of code right between the w and the “: “target="_blank
The link now looks like this:
It is that easy!

I Talk About Recycling But…
I try to be conscientious about recycling and reusing anything I can. It is good for our Earth. And it saves me money too. Awareness and Money, my 2 favorite subjects.
Even though I try, every once in a while I realize that I have a DUH! moment. I was packaging orders for mailing and intended to re-use some bubble envelopes that I received my orders in. I couldn’t re-use them because the hand-written addresses covered most of the face of the envelope. On others the mailing labels used were larger than the ones I intended to use. When I tried to take them off, the face of the envelope came with them.
I have always attached my labels to the outside using the adhesive. So much for thinking I was helping by re-using envelopes. Mine can’t be re-used either.
Only one envelope could be re-used. This one was addressed using a label that had not been attached using its own adhesive. It was taped around the border. All I had to do was cut around the edge of the “label” and I had a blank envelope.
From now on, I will be saving money and being environmentally conscious. I will print both the mailing and return address on a sheet of printing paper and attach it to the envelope using tape. Now my envelopes can be re-used too.
This was so obvious that I couldn’t see it. I would love to hear any little tricks that you employ to be frugal and environmentally conscientious.
I thank Artisan Originals and Fruits of the Bloom for the use of their pictures. Please visit their shops using the links I have provided. Click here to read more!

I Am Honored to be Honored
Awareness is an important issue for me. This is evident here on my blog, in my shops and in the jewelry I design. Everyone should all support some cause that is important to them.
You may remember that I featured a shop called Uncovered Artistry on my blog a few weeks ago. If you would like to see that feature just click here.
You may have wondered why I have been promoting this shop.
The answer to that question is that they have chosen a few of my designs to be sold in their shop.
And to make things even better I am the current featured Artist.
I invite everyone to visit Uncovered Artistry and help support their mission to empower domestic abuse survivors.
